50 Cent’s classic debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ celebrated its 10th anniversary on February 6, and the Queens-bred mogul definitely got a bit sentimental about it. “This was inspired by 10years anniversary of GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN I wrote the song so everytime i hear it it reminds me of it. I wrote it the day before yesterday shot yesterday it took me longer to find the beat than to actually write it,” he shared via ThisIs50. “I didnt shoot the 3rd verse for you to focus on the lyrics. no GIRLS, no JEWELRY, RAW ENERGY , its just me check it out.”
G-Unit’s Tony Yayo told MTV news this week that the album also holds a special place in his memory. “I always reminisce on back then like when Get Rich or Die Tryin’ came out,” Yayo said. “I remember Kanye being in the studio, Busta being in there; it was just a crazy experience.”
