You know that feeling when you download an app, play around with it, and then decide it’s not for you? Or you’re on the fence, but you’re already using 15.4 gigs on your 16-gig iPhone, so you figure you shouldn’t push it?
Well, Jay Z’s weekend was kind of like that. According to New York Daily News, Hova joined Instagram on Saturday (Aug. 29), posted a photo tribute to Michael Jackson, and then deleted the app 14 hours later — after amassing 100,000 followers behind the lone Gram.
Jay Z posted a photo of himself with Michael Jackson along with the caption, “Happy Birthday to the King!” Aug. 29 would have been MJ’s 57th birthday.
His account was never verified, but he did receive a shout out from music executive Michael Kyser, who posted this photo of Jay on his phone:
Here’s to hoping Jay reconsiders. If he gets those followers back, he’s only about 44,300,000 behind Beyoncé.
